We arrived at Crater Lake National Park in the late afternoon. This is a great hiking and biking park. The lake is five miles wide and ringed by cliffs almost 2,000 feet high. It rests in the shattered remnants of a volcano which erupted and collapsed into itself over 7,000 years ago. Amazing! The island is called Wizard Island.
