Although we have had a cool (very cool) spring, the flowers love it. We really enjoy gardening here in Washington, and can get carried away at Home Depot or Lowes! Here are some of our recent blooms.

Seattle Fun
We were treated to a fun, five days having Valerie, Mike and his friend Naomi as houseguests. Mike and Naomi explored the harbor while Val and Rae Ann did some creative cooking and quilt shop hopping.
We did a day trip to Seattle via the ferry from Bremerton where we explored Pike's Market and had some good eats.
Couldn't resist this shot.

Bremerton is about 40 miles north of us, and across the sound from Seattle. While waiting for the ferry, we took some pictures around the dock area. It's an old, interesting Navy town.

It's about 45 minutes on the ferry.
Couldn't resist this shot.Congratulations, Lauren!
June 15 was an exciting day for Lauren and family who attended her graduation from Gig Harbor High School. Lauren graduated in the top ten of her class of approximately 350 students! She's our first grandchild to graduate, and she has certainly set an example for all who follow.
Attending the ceremony besides the Fields folks, were Grandma and Grandpa Merrill (us), and from California, Aunt Valerie, Uncle Mike, and his friend Naomi Haueter.

"What could be in this box from Mom and Dad?"

Could it be...could it be....??
