Christmas in Gig Harbor - 2009

Christmas in Gig Harbor was full of good cheer with a family reunion.

Nathan, Jane, John, Alex and Chris and Valerie came from Lincoln, California; Mike and Naomi (aka newlyweds) came from Cameron Park, California.

It was a busy week before Christmas, including Christopher's third birthday on December 21. We had a party!

Aunt Naomi made him a Rocket cake. Chris loves Rocket from Little Einsteins.

What a great job she did!

The birthday boy received rocket toys from Grandma and Grandpa and the Fields folks!
John turned eight on December 10. On December 22, we had a family baptism in the Gig Harbor First Ward where John was delighted to become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

John with his proud parents......

With his whole family...

With the Fields--Mason, Spencer, Aunt Melanie, Lindsey, Lauren, Uncle Karl (and Chris). . .
With Aunts Val and Naomi and Uncle Mike (and Chris). . .

. . .And with Grandma and Grandpa.

Congratulations, John. We're proud of you!

Next it was time for Christmas! Yaahooo! We had a special family home evening on Christmas Eve, after being serenaded by a great family from our ward.

Spencer read the Christmas story. Then Melanie played while we sang some carols that sounded quite melodic.

All week we enjoyed great food and goodies. . .
Played games. . .

And some enjoyed nice warm baths!

And many good laughs!
